LaLlorona_MusicClip

The project I created consists of producing a music video for the song *La Llorona*, inspired by the legendary figure from Mexican folklore. La Llorona is a deeply rooted character in popular tradition: a woman shrouded in pain and remorse, condemned to wander eternally while crying for the loss of her children. Her lament, a symbol of suffering and guilt, has crossed generations and territories, becoming a metaphor for loss, memory, and punishment. In the music video, I aimed to translate these themes into visual form, focusing on a suspended and melancholic atmosphere, where reality and the supernatural dimension intertwine. The imagery recalls water, night, and silence, recurring elements in the legend, used to emphasize the sense of disorientation and tragedy that defines the character. Through carefully considered aesthetic and narrative choices, the project seeks to pay homage to Mexican culture while also offering a contemporary reinterpretation of the figure of La Llorona, highlighting her symbolic and emotional power.
